At The Studio, students experience a unique education designed to develop creative, digital and technical talent for future careers in digital technology, engineering and creative sectors.

Working closely with outstanding industry partners, our students take part in real projects with real clients, gaining experience that sets them apart in competitive professional fields.

Here is a round-up of some of the exciting experiences and opportunities students at The Studio have recently taken part in:

BIMA Digital Day

All of our Year 10 students took part in BIMA Digital Day, working alongside digital agency partners Mando Group

The day began with an introduction to life in a digital marketing and technology agency, exploring roles within interdisciplinary teams and the skills required to thrive in the sector.

Students then received their industry brief from the 2025 challenge partners, Aston Martin and HelloFresh, to develop ideas that would reinvigorate their brands using digital innovation.

Working in creative project teams, students, researched the challenge and the partner companies. Students then built and presented their concepts back to the year group and partners. Mando’s staff were highly impressed by the professionalism and creativity on display.

Engineering Industry Talk

We were delighted to welcome Rob Lumb, Mechanical Engineer at MAST, who shared his journey from school to university and into high-level engineering roles.

Rob discussed his experience developing solutions using 3D printing, prototyping and field-testing. He also shared the professional skills that employers look for: communication, initiative, curiosity and reliability.

Rob encouraged students to ask questions, solve problems creatively and seize every opportunity available.

We are thrilled to confirm that one MAST industry placement has already been secured for a Studio T-Level student this summer. Learn more about our T-Levels here.
