This summer, our T-Level students truly went above and beyond, immersing themselves in high-impact industry placements that brought their classroom learning to life. These placements are a cornerstone of the T-Level qualification, offering students invaluable insight into their future careers by allowing them to work alongside professionals and contribute to real-world projects.
Our T-Level Offerings
Since our T-Levels Launch Event in November 2024, our programme has gone from strength to strength, preparing students for the dynamic demands of modern industry.
T-Level in engineering, manufacturing, processing and control
This T-Level provides a broad foundation for a career in engineering. Students develop a strong understanding of how to work within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, including how materials, conditions, and context influence design. The curriculum includes essential mathematics for engineering, a detailed look at materials and their properties (including processing techniques and testing methods), and crucial business, commercial, and financial awareness to prepare them for the commercial realities of the industry.

T-Level in Digital Production, Design and Development
Students on this course aren't just learning to code; they are becoming well-rounded digital professionals. They develop a deep understanding of how digital technologies impact business, the ethical and moral implications of their work, and how to use data to design effective software. The curriculum covers a wide range of essential topics, from digital environments (including physical, virtual, and cloud) to emerging technical trends like the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Blockchain. Students also gain crucial skills in legal and regulatory compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, project planning, and software testing.

T-Level Industry Placements
We're incredibly proud of our students' hard work and dedication, which has been reflected in the outstanding opportunities they've secured.
In addition to their short-term placements, our engineering students have started extensive industry placements with several key partners:
-
Beverston Engineering: One student began a six-week in-person placement in June.
-
Mast Group: One student began a six-week in-person placement in June.
-
Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC): Four separate one-week placements in June saw students dive deep into advanced manufacturing and engineering.
-
Bouygues E&S: Two students completed one-week placements with Bouygues E&S in June, focusing on the critical link between engineering and services.
-
Surface Transforms: Four students began six-week in-person placements in June.
The success of these placements is already clear. One student, Coel, has been offered a paid role to stay on at Surface Transforms over the summer break!
The Creative sector placements were equally inspiring, with students getting to hone their skills in dynamic and innovative environments.
-
Skyhook Games: Two students started a nine-week in-person placement in June. This placement was so successful that two of our students, Daniel and Ben, have been offered paid roles to work two days a week at Skyhook Games over the summer break.
- Nexatrak: Two students began an extensive three-week in-person opportunity with Nexatrak in June.
-
North Liverpool Academy: One student began a six-week in-person placement in June.
-
FACT Liverpool: Two of our students completed one-week placements with FACT Liverpool in June.
-
Dynamic Devices/DoES Liverpool: Two students began a six-week in-person and hybrid placement in June. Alex, Founder of Dynamic Devices, shared this fantastic feedback:
"We've been hosting two fantastic T-Level students from the Studio School. Six weeks of these two young proto-engineers working with us on real projects, learning about how things work in the real world, and contributing greatly. We had them working on our INST casualty location project, our "QuestWalk" mixed reality project, and we got them going with the use of GenAI LLMs for coding and documentation. I hope and believe they had a really valuable experience with us at Dynamic Devices, and I will be sorry to see them go. Six weeks is better than one week but still far too short a period of time."
These placements are more than just work experience, they are a launchpad for future careers. We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work, dedication, and professionalism. A huge thank you to all the companies who have partnered with us to provide these amazing opportunities.
If you are interested in seeing where the T-Level can take your career, there is still time to enrol for September 2025. Just bring your GCSE results with you on results day, and we can get you enroled.
